· CBA are pressure-demand apparatus, designed to maintain a slight positive air pressure inside the face piece during inhalation and exhalation. This helps prevent contaminants from seeping in around the face piece, even if there are small breaks in the face-to-face piece seal. 
· NOT Approved by NFPA for use in fire fighting operations
